Kathy McGilvray Accepts MassDevelopment Role; Jessica Boatright Appointed Interim CEO

Kathy McGilvray, OppCo’s CEO, will be stepping down in mid-October to accept a significant new role as Executive VP of Finance Programs at MassDevelopment. The Board of Managers has appointed Jessica Boatright as Interim CEO to ensure a smooth transition. Jessica is a proven community development leader with over two decades of experience in affordable housing, strategy, and innovation.

With 20 years of strategic leadership experience in community development and affordable housing, Jessica Boatright brings a wealth of expertise from her previous roles at local CDCs and the City of Boston, making her well-equipped to advance the missions of OppCo and its members. The Board is incredibly proud of everything Kathy has achieved as OppCo’s CEO. During her tenure, she helped OppCo launch a successful Fellowship program, raise over $6 million for the Housing Accelerator Fund, and support our member CDCs through crucial leadership transitions. She also collaborated with the team to strengthen OppCo’s services and started exploring an exciting new expansion of our business model. Her tireless work and dedication have been invaluable, and we want to express our deepest gratitude. While we will miss her, we wish her all the best in her next chapter.
